On the 30th Anniversary of the Teachers’ Centre, ESSARP would like to celebrate the good practices carried out in our schools by inviting teachers to listen to colleagues talk about effective classroom practices or innovative projects which have taken or are taking place, either in English or Spanish.
The Conference will provide attendees with solutions to problems and/or ideas addressing issues important to the current educational scenario. Proposals will address the following topics:
• Global Education
• Understanding by Design
• Differentiated Instruction
• Assessment for Understanding
• Integrating ICT in the Classroom
• Social and Emotional Learning
• Making Thinking Visible
• Visible Learning
• Community service
• Blended Learning
Type of presentations:
1. Expository Sessions: In this category, presenters will deliver a 30-minute presentation on any of the topics suggested.
2. ESSARP Talks: Inspired on the popular TED Talks, presenters will deliver a 20-minute pitch supported by images/slides on any of the topics suggested.
3. Case Study Workshops: In this category, a given school will present a real case/problem to the audience for 20′. The audience will be given 5′ to analyse the case and 15′ to propose solutions/suggestions. The presenters will finally show the audience the way they solved the case in 20′.
