Luciana Fernández
Luciana Fernández is a graduate teacher of English who has been teaching English for the past twenty-nine years. She has specialized in Methodology and Teaching Practice and she holds a Diploma in Educational Research from the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Education. She holds two post graduate certifications in Thinking Cultures and Teaching for Comprehension
She is a Reading and Literacy expert and has been training teachers in this area for the past fifteen years. She is a teacher educator and has designed several presentations and courses for professional development both in Argentina and abroad. Her presentation at ARTESOL 2015 was selected to be presented at TESOL International as a Best Affiliate Session. She is one of the 50 scholarship winners who attended and presented at IATEFL, held in Birmingham in April 2016. She was later on invited to be a presenter at the Young Learners and Teenagers SIG pre conference event and at the main conference.
Nancy Johnstone
English teacher (I.N.E.S en Lenguas Vivas “J. R. Fernández”) and Licenciada en Inglés (UNL). She holds a Specialisation degree in Education and Constructivism (FLACSO), and is currently working on her master’s thesis. She has always taught English at bilingual schools, teacher training colleges and the School of Engineering – UBA, where she is the Head of the Languages Department. She has been a Cambridge Speaking Examiner since 1995 and an Examiner Trainer and Coordinator/Team Leader since 2008. She was awarded the IATEFL Cambridge English Peter Hargreaves Scholarship in 2016.
Pablo Toledo
English teacher and teacher trainer (IES “Joaquín V. González”). He holds a Diploma in Education Policy from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Before joining Cambridge Assessment English as Assessment Manager for the Southern Cone and Andes, he managed projects in the areas of remote teaching, internationalisation of higher education and language teaching to refugees for the British Council and led the Education department of the Buenos Aires Herald. He is a board member of LAALTA (Latin American Association for Language Testing and Assessment)
Cecilia Lasa
Cecilia Lasa is a Teacher of English (IESLV “Juan R. Fernández”) and a Teacher of Literature (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, UBA). She holds a Master’s Degree in Literatures in Foreign Languages and in Comparative Literatures (UBA) and a Higher Diploma in Research in Humanities (UBA). She has done a Specialisation in Reading, Writing and Education (FLACSO) and in Writing and Literature (Ministerio de Educación). She has worked as a teacher of Literature and of academic reading and writing in Teacher Training Colleges in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires and in Universidad Nacional de Avellaneda. She is currently working as a teacher and researcher in English Literature and American Literature (FFyL, UBA) and conducting her Ph. D research at Instituto de Filología “Amado Alonso” (UBA-CONICET). She is the author of Academic Writing and has edited and co-authored Literatura y formación docente. Proyectos de lectura y de escritura.
Lucila Márquez
Senior Manager, Latin America (Southern Cone & Andes), International Network (Int) Lucila’s vast experience with Cambridge International Schools derives from her many roles both within schools as a Teacher, Coordinator and Head, and outside schools in her role as Examinations Manager in ESSARP. She is trained in NLP and Ontological Coaching and in 2020 she completed the “ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching” with the Institute of Leadership and Management, UK. She has been with Cambridge International since 2014.
Sofia Hughes
Schools Development Manager Argentina, International Network (Int) Sofía has worked in Cambridge International schools in Argentina for over 25 years as a teacher and school leader. She holds a BA in the Humanities from Haverford College and an MA in Education from the University of Chicago. She has also trained as a Teacher of English and a Humanistic Counselor. In addition to her work with Cambridge schools in Argentina, Sofia facilitates Mastermind leadership development groups for ESSARP and BLBS (Better Leaders, Better Schools) and is the Executive Secretary for the International Confederation of Principals. Sofía joined Cambridge International in March 2023.

Sol has worked for several publishers, providing educational consultancy to key stakeholders at different levels. She joined Cambridge International in 2023 to share her expertise and knowledge when advising on the full range of Cambridge International resources.
